The GCC CO2 Program at PMEL in Seattle, Washington, conducts research on the sources and sinks of carbon dioxide in the oceans.
Atmospheric and oceanic carbon dioxide data are collected on cruises onboard NOAA vessels and from the TAO moorings. Modeling studies employing these data enhance our understanding of the ocean's role in the global carbon cycle and the important feedback mechanisms that will affect future climate changes.
